Welcome to A DJ TO GO's  website. My name is Ron Ralph, and I am the owner and only Disc Jockey of A DJ TO GO. Quality, Professionalism, and Experience are the cornerstones of my company. I am a seasoned DJ with well over 14 years of personal experience as a Mobile Entertainer. I focus on one client at a time and believe in Personalized Customer Service. No matter what type of event you're planning, or where you live, I'll work directly with you from the pre-planning stages throughout your event to ensure I exceed all of your entertainment expectations.

I have been entertaining Pensacola and the Gulf Coast of Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi and points beyond since 1993. I do perform in neighboring cities such as Gulf Breeze, Navarre, Fort Walton, Destin, San Destin, Panama City, Crestview, Niceville, Santa Rosa Beach, Tallahassee, Milton, Pace,  and Century, Florida. I also travel to Alabama, including Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham, Atmore and cities in between. I also travel to Biloxi and Gulfport, Mississippi for events too.

In my site, you'll find more information about the services A DJ TO GO offers. I have grown to become more than just your "average" Disc Jockey Service. With my professionalism, experience, attention to detail, and work ethic, I have become Pensacola's Leader In Quality Entertainment and the area's most requested Disc Jockey!!! I have worked extremely hard to build an excellent reputation on the Gulf Coast.

I have personally performed well over 2,200 events. I provide entertainment for  Wedding Ceremonies, Wedding Receptions, Wedding Anniversaries, Bachelor / Bachelorette Parties, Military Balls, Winging Ceremonies, MWR and USO Events, College Formals and Dances, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Team Building,  Store Promotions, Fund Raisers, and any other reason which requires music.

If you're looking to have an event filled with fun and excitement, you'll have many choices and options to make your event like no other you've ever been to. I offer a wide variety of ice-breakers, audience participation dances and games designed to get your guests up and having a good time all night long. Please see my Interactivity/Games page for a few of the games and ice-breakers I offer.

New for 2008 is Game Show Mania and Wii Games. Game Show Mania is like playing a live version of a Game Show with 4 full-sized TV style lighted player podiums. Each podium has a microphone, LED Scoring on the front panel, and a buzz in and lock out features. You may design your own questions or use mine. I have added Wii Games such as Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, Bowling, and Tennis. I plan on adding more games throughout the year.

Not up for a fun filled event and are looking to have an elegant event? No need to worry. I can provide the entertainment of your choice for that too. One thing is for sure. I will not be an over-the-top DJ who talks over the music or in that stupid "DJ Voice", where the DJ may say, "Yo Yo Yo". I personally think that's stupid. I have more class than that!!!

I will also dress appropriately for your event. For Weddings and Formals, my normal dress is a Tuxedo, unless otherwise specified. For other events, I can dress in a shirt and tie, Company Polo Shirt  and Khaki Pants, to a Hawaiian Shirt and Shorts. I will never wear a T-Shirt with a Beer Logo, jeans, or sandals to any event!!!

Experience and Credentials

I have been a Mobile Disc Jockey since 1993. I was trained by, and worked for a National DJ Service for 2 1/2 years which allowed me to travel across the southeast region of the United States, giving me valuable experience performing at a variety of events for all ages and ethnic backgrounds. In 1996, I started my own business, A DJ TO GO,  and have been a full time Disc Jockey since. Along with being a Mobile DJ, I also have experience as a Club DJ, Roller and Ice Skating DJ, and was a Radio DJ for a while. I worked as a DJ for the Pensacola Ice Pilots, an East Coast Hockey League Team during their second year at the Pensacola Civic Center.

Out of all the experience I have, being a Mobile Disc Jockey is what I love best as I can perform and interact in front of a live audience each and every time I work!!! With over 14 years of personal experience as a Mobile DJ, I can assure you will have a well-planned and smooth running event from start to finish!!!

I have attended numerous Disc Jockey conventions to improve my entertainment skills and business ethics. I regularly participate in online discussions with numerous professional Mobile Disc Jockeys from around the world.

Education

I feel that education is the key to the success in life. If one can't read, one can't comprehend. Education teaches responsibility, wisdom, knowledge, time management and discipline  No matter who you decide to hire as your DJ, always ask what their level of education is.

I earned a B.A. Degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida. I hold dual teaching certificates in the State of Florida. I'm currently certified to teach Elementary Education, grades K-6,  and Physical Education, grades K-12. Due to the time and effort I put into each and every event I perform at, I decided to give up teaching to run my Disc Jockey business full time.

In many ways, being a teacher and Disc Jockey are very similar. In both careers, I have to set the example, be dependable, have social skills, speak clearly and concisely, plan and organize events, use proper time management, have organizational skills, lead large groups of people in organized activities, be able to improvise when the need arises, think and act quickly, and have self discipline.

Military Experience

I served in the U.S. Army from 1982 until 1993 before I was medically discharged for numerous injuries I received while on active duty. I tried to reclassify to a different career field to continue my career as a soldier, but my injuries prevented me from doing so.

I served in various capacities including M60 and M1 Tank Commander, Training and Operations NCO, Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Re-Enlistment NCO, and finally as a U.S. Army Recruiter. As an Army Recruiter, I won the Gold Recruiting Badge with 3 Sapphire Stars, the second highest Recruiting award next to the Gold Recruiting Ring. I have also won numerous awards, decorations, and commendations for my dedication to duty.

Some of those same qualities and experiences I've learned in the Army are used in my business as a Disc Jockey today:
